¡Hola! Speaking Spanish at Sandcastles was made possible by a grant from the Great Lakes Energy People Fund. The exhibit integrates the Spanish language into existing exhibits using 10 conversation buttons which are placed throughout the museum. It also adds Spanish storytelling to the museum's programming. Sandcastles' learning environment is the perfect place to introduce vocabulary, greetings, and simple phrases. We added many Spanish translations to written content in the museum such as the menus, checklists and labels. This exhibit aims to bring Latin American culture to Sandcastles.
