Special and Weekly Programs
We have many exciting events happening this summer.
Badger Day on August 3
Join us as we celebrate our own Badger PlayShip and the historic Badger Carferry that continues to ferry passengers and cars across Lake Michigan, a trip everyone should experience! Our featured presenter, Tom Woodruff, has illustrated several books about Michigan. He has visited the Ludington area many times, and local teachers and students rave about his presentations. You may not know you can draw - but Tom Woodruff will show you that you can!
10:30-11:30 a.m. - Grades K-4
1:00-2:00 p.m. - Grades 4-8
7:00-8:30 p.m. - High school students and adults
Curious George Visits Ludington - August 5
Sandcastles is partnering with WCMU, the Mason County District Library, and the Ludington Area Center for the Arts to bring Curious George to Ludington. The program is being underwritten by Bill and Anna Anderson. Free events are planned throughout the day. From 10:00-11:00 a.m., George will be at Sandcastles for snacks and a craft. For other events, see our Event Calendar for August 5.
