How to Donate to Sandcastles Children's Museum

2011 Capital Campaign


We are currently involved in a capital campaign with a goal of $300,000. The money will be used to complete the purchase of the building ($150,000), renovate the exhibit area and the basement, and update the roof, wiring, heating and cooling, and plumbing. Our capital campaign is one of our funds within the Community Foundation of Mason County (CFMC). Donors may contribute to the Sandcastles Capital Fund within the CFMC or by mailing a donation directly to Sandcastles at PO Box 595, Ludington MI 49431.

Levels of Giving for Capital Campaign


Levels of giving and recognition: Each named level of giving will be acknowledged on one of our donor boards in the entryway to our new museum to honor your support and generosity. Those who donate $500 or more will be recognized permanently at the museum.

$25 Pavers to the Future purchased by or on behalf of children will also be recognized at the museum.


Good Neighbor Club


Join the Sandcastles Good Neighbor Club with a donation of $100 or more (up to $499). The name comes from Our Neighborhood, one of our largest play areas, and the fact that all who donate are good neighbors to the children and families who visit Sandcastles. Good Neighbors are displayed on the Neighborhood mural at the museum.

Good Neighbor Club donations may be used for current year operating expenses or exhibit maintenace.

Fundraising Activities


Each year Sandcastles holds one or more fundraisers to add to our fund within the Community Foundation of Mason County and/or to cover large expenses.

The Scottville Optimist Club has chosen Sandcastles as the beneficiary of its 2011 OPTIMIST “200” RAFFLE: “WILD WEST NIGHT DINNER-DANCE.” Tickets are $80 for 2 admissions, which include dinner, drinks, and dancing. Your ticket automatically puts you in the drawing for these prizes: 5 $1,000 checks and 25 $80 checks. Since only 200 tickets will be sold, those attending have a 1 in 7 chance of winning.
